    Ticket!!

    Ya, So I was on my way back from Visiting my Sister In Idaho and I was in Nevada on Highway 95 South, And I was going pretty fast, when I noticed I just passed a Cop..now I knew I was speeding. So I saw him turn around and it took him like 2-5 minutes to catch me because I didn't realize he was a cop at first. Then he lighted me up. I pulled over. He asked me If I knew why he pulled me off. I was like ya I was speeding. He was like do you know how fast you were going. I was like 80mph(Speed limit was 70MPH) He said He clocked me going 104 around the corner of a hill. I was just like...AH SNAP!!! But I have had alot of problems in my life that I have been dealing with, and I told him what was going on and he wrote me up going 90 in a 70mph zone. So he was a pretty cool cop. Lesson here people is...only go 100 mph if theres not Cops around :)

    ^Jail? My dad gets tickets left and right for speeding. 30 over, 35 over :lol: His second to last one is the one that made him realize not to speed. He was going 70 in a school zone but it really is a main road but still... Cop was like I can arrest you right now if I want to but the cop was cool about it. He gave him the ticket. My dad then got another ticket for speeding :lol: He threw away more money in tickets than what my car is probably worth lmao.

    You guys do know that speeding really doesn't save you more than about 10-20 seconds on an average trip right? And most states won't even bother with you if you set it at 4 over the limit.

    speeding does you no good unless its a consistent speed on a highway... ie... buzzing 100mph whenever you can as Deebs stated only shaves a few seconds which you lose when you get pulled over. You can bend the rules a little and shave total time, but buzzin 100 does you no good and burns more gas.

    perfect example... if I did the speed limit for ever section of my road trips home to Georgia, it would take me 23.5 hours to get home from Colorado. If I bend the rules and keep an average of 70 mph the entire trip it takes me 22.00 hours, shaving 1.5 hours off the total time. The best time I ever made was when I averaged 75 the entire trip and it took me 20.5 hours (only 3 hours off the entire trip. But keep in mind, while each 5mph made a large difference, you can only gain a constant average by maintaining that speed over the entire trip). So, buzzing up way over the limit may get you through a few legs quicker, but you'll loose it and plenty of money in the process if you get busted on any of those little speeding stints.

    Dunno about you guys, but I enjoy saving 3 hours and knowing i don't have to pay a fine or risk jail time for attempting to shave off another 15-30 minutes overall by speeding through little areas I feel are "safe".

    I dont speed excessively. I only hit 5-7 over usually. Sometimes on main roads i go 10 over. Cops dont seem to mind that much seeing as I never got pulled over. I have noticed a difference in speeding but I think I get lucky with the red lights lol. When I was a new driver, I went the limit and took me 25 minutes to get to school. Once I got more experience, I started going 7 over, took me 15 minutes. I guess I got lucky with the lights.

    If you really feel you must speed like that, just remember whose lives you are putting at risk.

    But if anybody speeds through my neighborhood or through a school zone...I personally will punch them in the face. :D

    (never in a school zone tho, omg... wether or not i had a kid, i'd beat someone down for that... lil kids require us to look out for them, not vice versa)

    ^^It was actually quite stupid though. The school zone sign was covered up by trees and everything in the area was factories. School was half a mile up the road and my didnt even know it. Oh well. As Forest Gump says, "Shit happens" lol.

    heh, the minor mistakes are okay - its blatent ' the sign is flashing im gonna go 50 through this mug ' that pisses me off. i've found myself in SZ's before and gone ' oh shit, kids! ' and slowed way down because a sign was blocked before... i called the school and bitched at em to bitch at whoever was responsible.
