If you say supercharger, i'm guessing you mean the TRD supercharger, which is a pretty low boost setup (but with a full warranty), you have no specifics posted about the turbo though... is it a low pressure turbo with no internal work, or a built engine with huge snail pushing 18 psi... it all depends on the setups...

The S/C puts the t/c just at 200hp (crank) I believe. I've seen dyno vids of a Stage I tC putting 292whp 331wtq, ad a Stage III pushing 426whp and 338wtq.

Hope that answers your question. :D

super charger is less maintenence and more reliable. turbo will give you more power, but it will all depend on the application for which it is intended. companies putting out turbo's for the tC currently haven't really been holding up their end on getting the kits out.

Turbos are Quarky :) S/C's usually are not. But the Turbo is damn fun!

It's the big honkin turbos that gives you the high peak horsepower, in most cases sacrafices the low end powerband and throttle response due to spool time/turbo lag.. Now your car would be useless for everything but drag racing.. That 1fast1furious status.

Superchargers gives you a more linear powerband simular to a all motor car, throttle response is instant, no lag, no spool up.

I favor SC or small ballbearing turbos, GT25, GT28R, GT28RS because I race on the ENTIRE race track, not just the straight part.

With a properly sized turbo, quality parts, and a professional tune, a turbo set-up can be just as reliable as stock.

Both my brothers have new 06 Tc One is an automatic and the other is the Stick. I've driven Both and have to say the Tc feels rather slow from the get go. yea the Stick bring's more excitement to this car But surly This car feels rather slow for my taste and I'm wanting to know if anybody has driven the Tc with the S/c.Th scion dealerships in my area have yet to install one and I'm waiting to see what overall changes are made on the Tc in terms of horsepower etc from this 4 banger...

I do love the Tc list of standard eq like the cool key-less built in the key and glass roof plus the signaled Mirrors are rather unique from a car in this class. My brother with the stick TC is installing an aftermarket cat back system which should provide a lit bit more horsepower.

How is this for more power:

A little info for you guys. The S/C stock will put the tC around 200whp. The turbo charger will put the tC in the range of 250-280whp 270-300wtq on about 8/9 PSI of boost, depending on which turbo kit the owner choose. We have the ZPI Racing Stage 1 turbo on our tC. I am addicted to BOOST...
