Went to see this on Sunday afternoon and it was pretty packed. Note to self, never see a movie if you see parents bring their babies with them. There were like two persistently crying babies in the movie. Anyways, this movie was long or at least it seemed like it. I think the movie couldve been more exciting. I dont know how many people would agree with me but the first half of the movie SUCKED. Only after they found the treasure chest did the movie start getting interesting. I liked the last half. But I understand the whole first half of the movie being boring because it was setting up the story. The effects were pretty cool. Johnny Depp did an incredible job as Jack Sparrow. Orlando Bloom did a half assed acting job, imo. Keira Knightly was just hot, lol. There's a lot of parts that they intended to be funny to keep up with the humor the audience was left with on the first movie, but I think they tried too hard sometimes. And of course, part two never beats part one and this was no exception but this movie was overall, an enjoyable movie. If you can sit through a nearly three hour movie or had your interested sparked when you watched the first movie, then go see this one. I dont think you'll be disappointed. Note: I think you really have to be "into this kinda stuff" to fully appreciate the movie.

You think you had it bad because you could hear the babies? I had to smell them, there were two behind me. It was a pretty long movie and NOT ENOUGH KEIRA. I know it's a Disney movie, but why did she have to be dressed as a dude the whole time?

Didn't particularly like the movie, the storyline seemed unnecessarily complex and hard to follow when I couldn't understand what the jamaican-sounding woman was saying.

I only hope this doesn't turn into the disaster that was The Matrix trilogy.

I wasn't overly impressed, I liked maybe half as much as the first... and I loved the first (must have seen it 25+ times)... I don't know, I must have had too high expectations. Parts of the movie seemed force, and some of the ramblings of Jack Sparrow seemed to lack compared to the first movie... the plot was a little further fetched than the first one I found, which made it slightly less enjoyable for me also. Where i'd give the first a 95%, i'd give this one maybe a 55~60% :S
