    Ecuador vs England

wow I am very pissed off about this game. Ecuador had England beat physically at the end but the referee was in the wrong most of the game and in top of that England knew that Ecuador could've tied the game so what do they do? They burn fucking time like no other and they called it a clean win? clean win my ass.... sorry about the rant but I just lost all respect for England as of today, weak ass fawkers

I secind that. It was a good game, but after the first goal Ecuador lost its edge. Too bad since they played very well, but that is how it usually ends.

Maybe in the next cup they'll do better.

It was funny to see Beckham almost spitting out his lungs. I wish the game would have gone to the extra 30 minutes like the Argentina vs. Mexico.

Beck was throwing up liquid chunks when they zoomed in. Ecuador looked like they were just playing to hold the ball after England scored. Although England did play a little dirty. Ecuador should of pushed the ball forward more often.

That arg vs mex was a good game. Wish mex would have score the equalizer. I wanted to see penalty kicks.

Portuagal just won. The russian ref was handing out both yellow and red cards like candy. That was a really physical match.

the most interesting game was portugal vs holland. so many red-cards and overall a very physical game. they were ready to knock each other out by the end. everyone was pushing each other on the whistles.

I agree that the officiating wasnt the greatest, but that has been across the board with almost every game. Ask the guys from Ghana about that bad call in their game, and they'll even agree that it was fucked up.

But to say that it was lame for England to burn the clock is stupid, because that is part of soccer.

And Beckham is the most overated soccer player in the world. Well, actually, he has to be rated to be overrated I guess...hes easily not even in the top ten soccer players in the world.

yea I understand the part of burning time being a part of soccer man but how can u call that a win? England physically was absolutely done man. Like all of you said Beckham was about to like pass out and what not and the same with half their team. The referees have been mostly in the wrong on most games I do admit that..... oh well Ecuador has done a hell of a job for their 2nd World Cup and I'm proud of them as they represent our continent with such pride.

If a game is 1-2 with a few minutes left.....the team with the lead will run out the clock if possible. That happens in 90% of the games! If you dont think you can call that a win, then the majority of games won are bad wins.
You could say the same thing about football teams taking a knee to let the clock run out.....basketball teams do the same thing, as well as Hockey!! Understand what Im saying?

Then youre way of playing the game is the very small minority, because this is how every international and domestic teams play, along with every league out there. Its called ball control

I know what you're talking about, what I'm saying is that in such events people expect u to try till the end and even ur coach and such too and well to me what England did was cheating the game.

I think what he is trying to say is that when games get to the world cup they should be played and won on player's merit and ability, and not by cheap strategies like burning time, or changing a player at the last minute when it is slaready on extra time.

The English team got two yellow cards for stalling the game, and that just shows that they were using a cheap strategy to make sure they won. It is very transparent to the viewer, and even though it is a legal move, it is still cheap for the caliber of the game.

I really wish they had gone to the extra 30 minutes since the heat was killing the English team. It would have been fun to watch.

If you have seen other games like the Mexico-Argentina, you will notice that such cheap strategies are never used. They take pride on the game, both the coaches and players know that they have to give their 100%.

Sure you can argue about the legality of the strategy all you want, but for true soccer fans it just shows the weakness of the coach.

Thank you! exactly what I meant, and well it's just not the viewer man I've played soccer most of my life and it feels good when you give it ur all till the last second trying to earn that win instead of trying to cheat it out like England did, personally that kinda strategies piss me off so damn bad I hate it.
