Spring suggestions

Hey all!! I am currently in the hunt for some springs to lower my 03 corolla S with. I have looked at TRD, EIbach, and Tein so far but don't know which one is right for my car.

I want a decent drop but nothing too dramatic. I believe the Tein SS ones are a little too much because i want somewhere around 2 inches of drop. I was considering the TRD ones which are 1.5" drop or the Tein HT ones that are 1.8" drop.

I have put on 17 inch rims and tires just recently and hate the gap!!! Does anyone have suggestions, experiences, or preferences on these brands or others??? Thanks for any info...peace

I run h-techs on my 04, and love them, I was in the same boat as you minus the 17's I just didn't like the gap and wanted something a bit more responsive, also I live in a snowy climeate, so the 2. whatever drop of the stechs was out of the question. I snow plow enouth as it is...

You'll like the H-tech's too, they are still a relatively comfortable ride compared to stiffer springs...

Yeah I definitely want a nice ride because it's a daily driver and I don't want it too low because like Denver Rolla I live in a snowy climate and cant ride real low. Are the H-tech's progessive rated??

Ok i found this on Ebay. I think i might go with this guy. He looks like a reputable seller...hmmm...$140 shipped is a great deal!!!

If you can afford it, get coilovers. That way you can higher it back up in the winter without doing damage to your car

Yeah I thought about that scenerio but yeah money is kind of tight and i can't afford the extra $500 or so for that but thanks for the suggestion...peace

dont forget to change your stock struts either tokico or kyb your choose,both are good struts.i know your stock strut will last a little long til it goes out but i would change it since you have to remove your struts,double work is a b!tch and if you cant afford it i would save your money for buy both lowering springs and struts.

kyb doesent make eather front or rear (can't remember off the top of my head which) for the 9th gen, to tokico is the way to go.. but I am running stockers and doing just fine... I want aftermarket but just can't afford it...

Well i had Tokico on my mustang and i absolutely loved them. I like how i could adjust them to my preference. I had Eibach springs on and the ride was amazingly smooth

I ordered my S-techs from them I think for 125 shipped. Great company to work with and cheap shipping (but then again one of their warehouses was less than an hour from my house). I know alot of other people have gone through them for springs on 9thgencorolla.com. There is also a HUGE sticky of pics of all sorts of drops that members have just for a comparison.
