    Sweet Computer Shifter

I was just surfing around and ran across this.

    http://www.thomas-superwheel.com/prods/shifter.html

This is about the most badass car simulations shifter I have ever seen for the computer. I'm half tempted to get one :D Are there any new good race simulators out for the computer?

too bad the R is on the wrong side.. makes me feel european. I'd wouldn't pay more than $50 for it tho.

corolla xrs has the reverse on the left, I just notice a design flaw in their shift pattern.. there needs to be more space between 1st and reverse, otherwise their joystick needs a synchro too to accurately simulate.. actually all the 1st through 3rd need synchros.. your car MUST blow up if you screw up shifting :D

Force Feedback shifter would be awesome. If you drive it hard it starts popping out of gear :D And if you try to shift really hard it will grind and stuff. I think this is a great idea. But the problem would not be making the hardware. It would be talking the software companies in to supporting it.

yeah it'd be very realistic. they just need some sort of input that gauges the amount of damage with poor shifting and translates that in to the game along with the other inputs... I should design hardware :D

yea that would be awesome to have one and make it seem pretty cool playin GT4 cause it'll almost be like the real thing. but yea i agree wit JspeXAE102 its to expensive... but if it came wit the steering wheel and pedals that also had the clutch then that would be even better.lol

Am I really that under a rock? Every 6-speed tranny I have ever seen has the Reverse to the left of first. Hell...even the pair of Trans-Am's I was in had reverse left of 1st.

that looks like a pain in the ass to shift from first to second. freaking gates dont line up so you have to jog the shifter as if going from first to fourth.... lame product design
