This post makes me sad. I broke my PPC-6700 screen ($599) and sent it off to get a replacement but there was too much other damage to the unit so they are mailing it back. Now I'm stuck with this giant Hitachi G1000 :(

I just upgraded using Verizon's New Every Two deal. All I had to pay for was taxes to get this baby.

It takes great pictures (I'm still learning how to use it, some examples can be found in my "blew spark plugs" thread...keep in mind that I keep it in economy mode to take faster pictures) and good video. The only reason the video is only "good" is because the sound is rarely in sync with the video.

One thing I truly love about it is the micro SD flash card slot. The card can be used to transfer songs, pictures, videos, and other files between the phone and my notebook. I bought a 1GB card for only $50 from Fryes. With it, the phone is capable of taking video for almost 1.5 hours...if the battery could even last that long.

My favorite part though, is how the camera works. I just have to open and swivel the cover to start the camera. The camera lens (w/ 2X OPTICAL zoom) is mounted to the side of the phone. If I choose to just open it up like a regular flip phone I can take pictures of friends to my left without them even knowing it (and I've done this plenty of times already...I'm such a jerk sometimes, heh heh heh)

One of the functions I have yet to use is the voice recognition software, which I've read from reviews as being top of the line.

Edit: Lol, after typing all that I noticed that I forgot to tell you what phone it is... Samsung SCH-a970
