    Duplicating Parts

I'm looking to duplicate a few interior parts (a-pillar, black trianglish thing near the side mirrors...). I want to duplicate the parts because I dont want to experiment with my original ones. Anyone know how I could go about doing this? I was thinking fiberglass but I'm stumped on how a mold would work for parts like the a-pillar. Btw I was reading this tut for fiberglass.

I need to make a about 5 or more copied parts so getting them from junk yard is out of the question.

You would need to create a mold using liquid rubber or plaster and the original peices. Then you could lay fiberglass in to the mold to make each copy and then trim it down and add the backings and clips, etc. Thsi is still pretty involved and it would cost some bucks to make the mold and get it all perfect.

Ok I understand that part on making mold and laying fiber glass and all. What I dont understand is that when taking original piece out of the mold, I would have to cut mold in half or find a way to get it out. Once it's out there should be a male and female piece. How would that work? I lay fiberglass into female piece and not even touch male piece?

With fiberglass you can't really make the front and back of something easily. If you want to make exact duplicates of trim peices make a 2 peice mold then rubber band it togather and fill it with liquid plastic and let it setup then break the mold apart. If you use mold release it should work over and over again without problems. Try www.tapplastics.com for materials.
