ambient temp sensor

    ambient temp sensor

    anyone know the best place to get one? It's the part that reads the outside temperature. I called Toyota and they want 70 bucks for it. any ideas?

    i called junk yards and NO ONE had it. your best bet is the dealer....

    just find a junk yard local with an 01-02 and rip it out.. wherever it is.

    its behind the front bumper, on a frame piece, little black piece that looks like an antenna. BTW

    yeah, i know where it goes, i just need to find out how to get it cheaper. i might end up having to shell out the 70 bucks beause no local junk yard has 8th gen corollas around here.

    i called about 20 junkyards in my state, no one had an 8th gen and the one that did didnt have the sencor. P.S. the chevy prizm uses the same exact part, in fact i got mine from a corolla and put it on my prizm, try calling junkyards for a prizm, you might get lucky.

    i got it yesterday and put it in, its sooooooo annoying seeing that stupid -E- or -22f when it rains lol
    Now i don'thave to look at banks to see wat temp it is

    doesnt have to be from a corolla, just yank one off a camry or something. there's a million junkyards in LA, i gurantee you'll find one.

    meh, i didn't think about that. i just ordered the one online, thirty bucks works for me. thanks for the suggestion though.
