Blacking out tails

Since I was going for steathly blacked out look to my car, well except for the rims I think. I was planning on blacking out my tail, like the RSX below. But him seems to have one of the nicest I've seen, because some night shade i have ran along seemed to give it a dull look.

Any ideas on how to give it a nice glossed out look, like below?

do what i did and all these people are suppose to do. use night shades, then follow the directions on the can where it says use clear coat. thats what i did and it tinted them AND made them glossy. you have to use clear coat over the night shades if you want it to look right.....

i can post up pics of mine in about 2 hours or so if you want......

follow this guide and you should be al set, all i have to do now is wet sand the clear coat and buff it, then it should be real shiny...

Did you smoke the corner lights or just black them out??

both....

i blacked them out but not enough and i saw this stuff and tried it also and smoked them.

Yeah, I was going to say that looks really nice, but... it wasn't enough.
