    Headlight Lens

So I have a couple of scratches on the lens of my headlights that I wanna get rid of. Its not horribly bad but bad enough to notice when u get close and I want it to look at least halfway decent without having to resort to whole new headlight housings or visiting the junkyard....any minimally invasive suggestions that I can do myself??

How deep are the scratches? Could they be polished out?

I have some crazy polish that I use on my iPod screen to remove scratches. It takes a little elbo grease but it does the trick. I'll try to post up the name of it when I get home tonight, its like $12 a jar and comes with an applicator.

is it plastic or glass housing?

meguiar's makes a product called plastx that polishes light scratches out of plastics easily.

i dont kno about that...sounds like the same myth about people putting toothpaste on their face to get rid of acne...(first of all, ill just call you funny names) my teacher said that it was not meant for this because it was made to clean the rough surfaces of tooth enamel and to the skin, it will slowly eat away at your skin cells irritating ur skin...probably the same concept with cds too...and probably not the best thing to put on my headlights, lol...I want people to say my car is cool...i dont wanna drive by people n them tell me my car is minty fresh, haha...
