A Few Questions and a Little Help

I was looking to get a hood scoop like this below and I cannot find him to contact him, could anyone maybe point me in the right direction to find one, and how I would put it onto my hood.

Also I think this is a stupid question, but can you paint carbon fiber, and if you can't paint it, why not?

That looks like the guy who put the Mustang hood scoop on his car, it does kind of flow with the car (but I just don't like hood scoops)... you CAN paint carbon fiber, but on a Corolla, where the Carbon Fiber hood doesn't weigh all the much less than the factory thent he only reason for Carbon Fiber is the look, and in that case, why would you want to paint it?

Well What I was kinda going for would be a hood scoop like that, and a decent sized wing in the back, kinda going for a wrx look to my car. And the reason I was asking about the carbon fiber because I don't like the look of carbon fiber at all.

    Where could I find him?

I only asked that because I was looking around for hood scoops, and they had "Paintable Hood Scoops" and "Carbon Fiber" so I was like hmmm?

But if any of you could help me find one that looks like it, and how I would go about getting it onto my hood that would be great.

You can paint CF all you want, but I think non-functional hood scoops are a no-no.

    Just my opinion.

If you can get the same hood scoop in urethane or fiberglass, i'd do that way, since it'll be cheaper and once its painted, it'll look the same as the carbon fiber ones...

the bottom scoupe is the 4runner style scoupe that you can get from almost anywhere... it's a universal hood scoupe. check visracing.com, grounddynamics.net, aitracing.com --- all three carry it for about $100 or so. I'm doin the lower one on mine to get more air into my engine compartment to help with cooling of my turbo area. necessity mod on my part though.

If my memory serves me right, that blue rolla own used a mustang hood scoop.
It not hard to do, just cut open the hood and fiberglass the scoop on it.

Btw - both of those hoodscoops are the same, that was before he painted it the second one. Yes, it is functional and if VorTex needs it, I will need it eventually because I plan on going for a turbo setup like his :).

    Thanks for the help guys.
