Trailblazer SS...Im very tempted, but Ill probably end up with a top trim 2006 Trailblazer instead of the SS. Also, if they have a low mileage 03 or 04 I may go with a used one instead.

Ive also been looking at the GMC Envoys. Theyre nice as well. On saturday I test drove a Denali, which was NICE NICE NICE.

Audi A3 would be in addition to my Passat (which Im keeping)......Trailblazer would be in place of my Pathfinder.

I know its kinda steep, but if you go that route (can't believe I'm saying this) I think you should go with the Saab 9-7x.

It has better features than all of them (cept' the GMC's cascading roof) and better handling. You can find them slightly used as dealer demos for pretty good prices. It doesn't really have Saab parts (delphi-GM) and the ONLY thing I've seen on one go bad was a leaky shock.

Only thing is you can't buy a 9-7x with the EXT long wheelbase.

Actually pretty sharp lookin! The only reason I may sway away from that is because I am good friends with John Fitzgerald (owner of fitzmall dealerships all over MD, PA), so he can give me a killer deal on a car, and a killer trade-in for our pathfinder (which is paid off). He doesnt deal in Saab.

definately go with the cheaper option then. personally though, I'm not a fan of GM's. My dad bought one because his sister in law worked for GM, and its been in teh shop 30+ times in the 5 years he's had it

make sure that the ss is E85 compatible. it should though. so you will not be hurting in your pocket because of gasoline. hopefully MD has E85 gas pumps.

Lol, yeah, but it's a Jeep. High performance and Jeep is something that doesn't mix in my bag.

E, it's all up to preference. You looking for something similar size to the Pathfinder? Or bigger?

I test drove an 06 tonight, fully loaded LT trim, everything except navigation and leather. Real nice. Black exterior, grey interior.
My wife and I are going back Tuesday morning to decide on what we are going to leave with. Most likely leasing it

I also test drove the SS. LT Trim rides just as nice.....sits lower which I like, and is very quick for an SUV.
The Yukons are real nice too. I sat in an 07...didnt drive it, but it seems a little too big for me. And pricey! 40s easy.

I was VERY close to bringing home the SS, but I couldnt justify it. This is fully loaded, 10.2 inch flip down screen and 2 headrest monitors going in next week....Onstar, XM, rear A/C, Heat controls....rear headphone jacks for 2 people.....in dash 6 disc changer...got warranty to 90k miles or 7 years, whichever comes first.....wireless phone system....

So you were sold on the ICE? I don't blame you, it's lookin' pretty boss next to the Passat.

I'm glad you got the short wheelbase version (non EXT). The long wheelbase ones look so ugly.

I was never even considering the long wheel base. If I was going to get something like that, it wouldve been a suburban or something.

I got all of the video stuff at Cost with no labor charges, so that was a no brainer for me. And I got the extended warranty for 33% of the regular price:D
