    MA Audio.... any opinions?

Generally i'm looking for an inexpensive 8" sub.... for the mr2 i'm building for my g/f.... and i'm not gonna shove a 10" or anything bigger. Obviously it will be amp driven....

in any case, I seem to have found a *decent* looking MA audio 8" sub that's priced reasonably (i know that JL and the such have nice 8"s but i'm not looking at anything that's gonna be over $50)....

    any ideas on the company?

Does IB = Infinite Baffle? Is a travel distance of 3cm big or small?

MA Audio subs are not bad. I sold a 12" MA Audio a while back and it kicked pretty nicely.

apparently you didn't read what i wrote too closely

there's an amp on ebay that's sufficient enough (and cheap enough) to push an 8".... i already have an alarm lying around (high end viper)

    8' sub

i have 2 rockford fostgage 8's sitting in my garage. They need a 200w amp or so, a really small amp to power it so u dont blow it. Around $60....

meh, too late... already ordered the MA..... it's got an 80oz magnet, dvc, and a rubber surround... i'm not looking for the bass that rattles houses as you drive by, just a much nicer sound in an mk1 mr2 (for those that have ever been in one.... the stock sub is terrible, if it isn't blown, and the stereo sounds like a tin can)
