    Anybody use skype?

    this forum software supports adding your skype name, and then you can call people making voice calls computer 2 computer.. really fun!

    It also does 5 way conference chats.. am I the only one that uses this?

    i haven't used it, but both Mike and a friend of mine have. my friend uses it almost nightly...Mike only uses it when he has no phone signal, and he's at a hotel wth decent internet.

    www.thinkgeek.com has a phone specifically for skype calls.

    yeah, I'm trying to get my parents to abandon our landline and go exclusively to skype.

    using skypeout to dial other phones @ 2c a minute
    and skypein to give us a phone number for $35 a year.. it's a great deal

    then I was going to get an adapter to hook the computer to our phone line and make the phones ring, etc like regular but it uses skype to communicate

    ^^ i have that.
    i bought the phone from Skype and i use it like a regular phone. I call to Greece for 2.1 cents per minute compared to 30+ cents/minute AT&T was charging.
