Distribution block for a negative terminal?

I got my hands on one of those tsunami 1200 watt multi amp kits from circuit city for 37 dollars with a employee discount from one of my friends and it came with a distribution block, but when i was about to install it i realized it didn't come with a negative terminal distribution block, only the positive. My system will have 2 amps and a cap.

Question.... do i need a distribution block for the negative side if i run 4 guage all the way around till the distribution block. Can i just run the 2 8 guage negatives from the amps to the cap and just let the cap ground it with the 4 guage negative to the chassis?

Last time I checked caps do not get grounded. They are in line capacitors in the positive power lead.

Your best bet is to find a place near the amps where you can ground to bare metal, you can run 4 gauge wire there, and you do not need a distrbutor to do so. The shorter the ground cable, the better.

idk about the cap that u know of, but my tsunami cap has a postive and a negative terminal. the negative runs to the chassis....

right now i have one amp running and the amp power and ground both run to the cap itself, then the cap is grounded, so the amp is grounded also.....

so i odn't need a distributino block for the negative if i am running a 4 guage and 8 guage setup?
