Need help finding good gripping tires *update*

Like the title says, need to find some good gripping tires. Here's my situation....
I'm trying to save for a new car, something like the new SI or a RSX-S
well right now i sold off my rims and tires which i kinda regret. But now i'm stuck on my steelies and new blizzaks, they are good tires, but will wear fast in summer time and don't have good grip.
So i'm just thinking about mounting some good summer tires or even all seasons that have good grip cause i tend to take corners somewhat faster then usual people so i wear out tires quite quickly.
So i need some help finding good tires for 185/65/14. Its hard to find tires for this size that have good grip since its like economy size tire....
o ya, and i am also reading that 195/60/14 should fit just as well, even with my car lowered wit the trd springs
Edit: i found a few good looking tires that look like they are good how about these:

I've gone to tirerack.com and looked through their forums and their ratings...they seem to be ok as far as ratings go, but I combined all the data...from user reviews, forums, and tireracks reviews...that is, if they have those brands. Try there yet?

The Falken Ziex 512s were consumer reports highest rated all season high performance tire last year...I currently have them on my car, and Im happy with them. The tire tread rating is high too.

Not a fan of Kumhos.....the Avids are good tires too

Check out the Fuzion HRi (made my Bridgestone)... really not expensive and the ratings seems to be really good... debating putting them on my Integra this summer...

I've heard only good things about Falken Azenis RT615. They wear fast, though, and you won't get any help when it rains.

195's would be wider there for creating more grip, and will have a shorter side wall but just by a little bit

We had 195/50/15s on the rolla - they rubbed in the back if it was full of people and we hit a bump. Handling was nice, though (Dunlop FM901 tires).

    195s on a stock 14" rim might bulge a bit..I haven't tried, though.

according to sites, its a compatible size, and according to the miata calculator its within the size, with my suspension i shouldn't have a problem i think, i have alot more choises if i go wit the 195/60.... but there's a reason y toyota made it 185/65......

cause a 185 is a cheap tire... most car comapnies go with (in tire brand) who is having the best deal at the time. thats why (with some exceptions) you can find that oe shipment will come tock with goodyears and another will come stock with bridgestone, size wise the find the smallest tire that will fit on the rim size of choise and will work with the suspention of the car, unless the car is a sports car then they usually have a brand and size that that car will only come with corvettes for instance only come with one size.

i'd say if you can afford it try an r-compound. tires are the best upgrade you can do for your handling and it will make a world of difference in cornering ability. they will wear fast(approx 15-20k) and you'll want to avoid non-paved surfaces, but IMO theyre worth every penny. Just go to the links below to check these out. you can also try the extreme performance tires if you want slightly higher tread life.

and definitely try a 195/60/R14 size

Ok came to a conclusion of 2 tires, the Falken Azenis RT615 and the Falken ZIEX 512, i can't decide if its worth paying double for the azenis, I can get the RT615's for about 70 a tire shipped, or i can get the ZIEX 512's for about 40ish per tire shipped. I got my blizzaks so i don't need all seasons, and i will be taking corners kinda fast sometimes but besides that they will be driven probably bit hard or above average of typical driver.....

These will be driven on a 195/60/14 tire on a steelie most likely
    Which would u guys pick?

Lots of coasting, my friend. I wouldn't take the Schukill with those in the rain, if you drive on that anyway. Then again, there's an accident a day on that road in broad daylight.
