    Taxes

I was relieved today when I opened up my packet from my accountant from Florida, and I only owe 600 bucks. 1600 is due to the federal government, and states gonna give me a refund of 1000.......I was expecting about a 3000 owe total. Much better than last year though...I owed a crap load of taxes last year since I was a contractor and taxes werent taken out of my paychecks, and I didnt pay quarterly.

Anyone else end up oweing a **** load, or getting a good amount back?

Next year Ill get more back, cuz we'll change our deductions for the remainder of the year.

    How so?

Ive been tempted to set mine up so I get a crap load of money back come tax season, but I just cant justify letting the government hold my hard earned money and gain interest off of it in the mean time. Id rather have more money every paycheck
Last year I owed 25k at the end of the year since I didnt submit every quarter....so oweing 600 this year was nice.

I am getting around 5K's back, but that was because of a couple of one time bonuses which they tax at a different rate (higher). This year maybe different (lower) since I've changed my W2 somewhat.

see...he's sick of owing the government, so he figured he'd let them take more out. it worked out, though. he paid off a MAJOR bill(financial freedom is that much closer!), and he's buying a truck(and selling the broken convertible).

honestly, this year couldn't have worked out better for us. :)
