someone beat me to my new car!

for about a week now i have had my eye on a toyota certified '01 celica gts 6 speed, and i finally went to check it out today, ready to buy in cash. WELL, GUESS WHAT. some lady put a deposit on it yesterday afternoon! luckily, it expires tomarrow afternoon since it was only for 48 hours. but still, if i just wasn't so lazy to go check it out earlier it could be mine without having to play a waiting game to see if they lady doesn't come through with the financing. i am really upset because i had my heart set on this car. hopefully she doesn't come through. maybe i should offer more? it's going for 9,995 so maybe i could offer 10,300 or something? maybe i will, i don't know.

sorry, i just needed to vent because i am mad, mostly at myself for not acting quick enough when i could have.

i'll let you guys know tomarrow how it goes.

ummm this isnt the only celica in the world, a minor inconveniance maybe but not the end all of getting a celica, gl and hope you get it though!

shifty, trust me, i have been looking. i have found countless celicas, mostly GT's and a handful GT-S's but all automatic. i have found a total of about 3 manual GT-S's. this one, one out of my price range, and one with $2,100 of damage from the hurricane.

to find this one at a price well below book value was truly to find a needle in a haystack, atleast for me and the luck i have been having. i really thought i was going to be coming home with a car i have saught after for a while now, but i didn't. sorry, but it just put me in a really bad mood.

and about the lady thing, ghoztrider is correct. i didn't mean to offend anyone, but i don't think i have ever met a woman who drives a manual. and for all of you that do, more power to you.

my int'l business teacher asked who drove a manual and basically half the women in the class raised their hands. which would be about 50-65 women in a class of 220

i had a yellow celica and it was a manual...best car i ever had until my corolla
