    I have a job!

Just got the offer today - full-time Administrative Assistant for a local bank - higher pay than I asked for on the application, bank hours M-F, every other or every third Saturday (half day), bank holidays, full benefits. I'm thrilled. :D

Benefits are the bomb! I'd still rather have Kaiser coverage than no coverage...despite the fact Kaiser can't keep a straight handle on their own billing procedures.

I keep forgetting that Hawaii is the ONLY state in which the employer has to offer medical to its part time employees that work 20+ hours a week and full benefits for employees that work full time...

Had an orientation half-day today -- met the bank president and many other people..most of which I cannot remember names for..heh

More training tomorrow and Monday/Tuesday, then I'm on the teller line for a week..then I learn my actual job. I just found out today that I only work as a teller when I'm needed - it's not my primary function..I actually have my own desk just inside the building! :D

I don't know - supposed to back up the loan officer, branch manager, customer service rep and someone else.

I'm getting teller training in case they need me..it's typically two weeks, and they're only giving me two days..

Wide range depending on what you're doing and where you're working..Staples only wanted to pay me $7.15/hr for electronics sales / computer tech.

Anything IT, usually the first job is quite low... almost a joke up here... like you can easily make more working in a call center... but get 2~3 years experience in it, and then your laughing :)

Sounds like it will be a decent job CadetLee, as soon as possible, try to get your licences for loans and investments/mutual funds, and move up into another position, the pay will be great :)
