Well guys, I have some big news. (Not an April Fools joke this time)

I've been offered a job at a shop in Beaufort, SC, and I think I'm going to go for it. I'm going down in a couple of weeks to check things out and look for housing. The shop is fully-equipped: lifts, tig welder setup, a DYNO, everything. I'm basically going to be managing the shop and the starting pay is real decent.

Right now, it's looking like I'll be heading down there to start fulltime around May 1st. Sadly this means that I won't be a bid part of NET anymore, heck, I'm going to have to start a new forum, SET (southeastern tuners)! LOL. I know this may be a disappointment to some of you who may have been planning on coming up to have work done, but for pretty much anyone south of New York, the travel time will be about the same. For others that are in the southeast, this may be great news for you.

So, that's about it, wanted to give everyone a heads up. All of the projects that I have currently at my shop will be completed of course, but I won't be booking any more here. This is still in the planning stages so it may not even happen, but I'll know more in the coming weeks.

Glad to hear the good news on you getting a new job. I'm moving to NYC this summer for a job, so I was planning on bringing my car to you for a swap then. South Carolina is a little farther of a trip, but if I can get the car dyno tuned while the swap is getting done, it's all the better! :)

Let us know the details of the shop when everything gets settled.

Does the shop have any specialty make/model, or all cars?

dude, i was just there the last 2 days. Drove from north charleston to beaufort to bluffton to hinesville to statesboro and stayed at Savannah overnight. I travel all over SC at least 600 miles a week. That's the main reason I don't want to mod my engine too much, but that may change, heh. Maybe a manual swap?

Let me know if you need info about the area or whatnot.
