    AHHH Brakes!!

    :sleepy1:
yes....dont really know whats up with the title but im balls to the walls tired right now. anyway im wanting to replace my brakes and pad for better stopping power, ive read lots of research that says replacing rotors alone (crossed drilled and slotted or not) doesnt make a difference its all in the pads, the research was from multiple big name companies like wilwood, baer and others. Anyway there are numerous rotors and pads out for our cars 98-02 (and i think it goes all the way back to 92 with the rotor model) but im wanting to replace rotors and all, so does anyone know what it would take to swap a celica gt-gts 00+ big brake kit onto a rolla?

Better stopping power? You can lock up stock brakes just fine..do you want less fade?

If ya have to go with rotors other than OEM, Id stick with slotted over cross drilled.

right now im looking at the rotora rotors (slotted) and the pads and shoes that they make, from what ive seen they are the best combo i can find for a reasonable price, rotors, pads, shoes for under 300.

I picked up the rear disk brake kit from Phoenix Tuning a while back, and I do say I notice quite a difference in my cars ability to stop. But I also have about 400lbs worth of car audio crap in my trunk so that made stopping a bit of a chore sometimes when the rears were drums.

I've heard that cross drilled have a tendancy to crack pretty badly while slotted do not...truth to statement anyone?

I have also heard the same thing, but that is all. I have yet to see any substance to this claim, but I do suspect that it is true.

I have Brembo Cross drilled and slotted for the last 2 years and no cracking or warping and I am hard on brakes. I am on my 3 set of ceramic pads in 2 yrs.
