their nice, but a bitch to work on. Make sure the timing belt has been changed cause its a very weak point of volkswagen. I've had to take out the head on the motor 3 times on 3 diverent volkswagens because their timing belts broke and had to replace all the valves.

When I think VW, I think of a portly ass car. What does that thing weigh? It's going to be hard to keep your hands off that thing once you see how easy it is to mod the engine.

Nice car! That 1.8t is a fun engine (i've driven a few), hopefully it will be a good, reliable, quick car for you.

Chip it as soon as you can, and install a boost guage.....and if ya chip it, upgrade the diverter valve. The stock one wont last after getting chip. If ya want the BOV sound, go with a 50/50 valve....Id recommend the Turbosmart Kompact Series 50/50 valve...it was designed specifically for VWs.
Chips that Id Recommend: APR or GIAC for your car
Induktion Motorsports can chip your car http://www.4induktion.com/ (Ask for Anand)
Or New German Performance http://www.ngpracing.com/home.html (aberdeen)
    Or EIP Tuning: http://www.eiptuning.com/eip/video.html

EIP Tuning chipped my car, upgraded my N75 valve, and my BOV....theyve put out some of the fastest VWs on the east coast. Theyre located in Westminster MD, and Rich, the owner, is a cool guy.
How many miles are on it? Id change the timing belt no later than 80k....while changing that, youll also change the thermostat, the water pump, tensioner belts, etc.

I can recommened a Euro Tuner shop here in Frederick that does most of my work....
http://www.eurotechmotorsports.org/ Brian and Chris are cool guys, and do great work.

Any questions, let me know. Those chips will give ya over 50hp and up to 100ft torque increase......

nice nice dude, once you get the chip in you'll feel a heck of a difference. The VW and Euro scene here in Denver is getting bigger and bigger every year, is kinda cool
