buy a lot of those collered keg cups... keep one of each in your trunk... you'll drink for free at every house party... :)

umm actually... just keep on top of your books and and do ALL of your home work... slip on one assignment and you'll likely slip on more

Dude, that keg cup idea is amazing. If you are staying in dorms, move in the first possible chance you can get, that way you can mingle and drink w/ all your new hall mates longer than the guy that procrastinates and moves in at 8 p.m. the day before classes start.

Oh! and most importantly don't schedual friday classes. You'll soon find out why. If you can handle them, take a lot of online classes. Especially for your General Ed BS that isn't purtinant to anything. No class meetings and typically one assignment at most every 2 weeks, thus you learn nothing because you have like one week to do all your exams (at least w/ all the ones i've taken)

Avoiding Friday classes are hard, unless ya stack all of your classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I did that one semester, and those days sucked, but the other days were awesome. But I couldnt do that every semester. I just went to class hungover on Fridays....

have fun, but stay away from hard drugs. a lot of my boys are now addicted to pills or hard stuff. i'd advise you to lay low the first semester, don't come in partying too hard (unless your major is easy). get the hang of things, and then start in slow, with a group of people you can somewhat trust. dont overdo anything, EVERYthing in moderation. homework, parties, women, working out, chillin out with boys, modding car, everything in moderation. dont rush it, it's the best time of your life!

here's a tip that earned me a 4.0 my first semester: do your homework in offtimes when none of your friends is doing anything. And get to it right when the assignment is given. That will cut the procrastination and you'll be amazed at how relaxed you are when you are done - since those assignments aren't hanging over your head all the time.
