    98 Carbon Hood and fenders

Hey ive got a question for anyone who could help. I know there are a few people here that have 98-00 prizms like myself. Im wondering if the hood and fenders from the 98-00 rolla's fit on the prizms. I know certain body parts are different im just wondering about the hood and fenders, if so i'd like to get one of the vis hoods and some z3 fenders.
I'd check it myself but i cant seem to find anyone who's willing to let me use their hood and fenders....aparently people dont just want to let you use their hood... i mean what gives huh? Even salvage yards wont let me just try the hood out, its always you have to but it then you can try it.

so if anyone has any experience i'd would be nice.

well my guess is since the chassis is the same
you should be able to swap the hood/headlights/corner lights/fender and bumper
might need some wiring and brackets to fit

but i am sure its doable and not very difficult

measure the width / length of your hood and I'll do the same, that should give you a good estimate, also look at the details of where the hood latch is and where the hinges sit, anti-smooshDriver hood prop stick

well thanks for the suggestions corollasbest and i have done just that, then i went to a toyota dealership and did the same on one of theirs (it was a 01-02 so the hood styling was a little different) the measurements were the same as what i had on my car. So as far as i can tell the hood would match up but before i go and spend almost 600 on a hood i want to make sure it fits perfectly by actually doing a test fit on my car, so now i just have to find a donar hood to try which seems to be my problem but vis is out of hood at the moment and it'll be 2 weeks before they restock so ive got some time.

and as for the fenders they dont cost quite as much as a hood so ill prolly just buy a cheap fender and do a test fit myself. Im thinking all i'll have to do is swap the fender and the corners and it should mount up.

ill keep you guys posted if anyone's interested.

i wish it were that easy....apparantly people in oklahoma dont wreck their rollas unless its by them rear ending someone. Ive only been able to find one and its front end wrecked.. at this point im kinda wanting to just stop at random houses with rollas and Knocking and saying "Mr or Mrs would you mind if i borrow you'r hood?

seriously if the chassis is the same (which it is) then everything should bolt right on
you might need extra mounting brackets/screws/clips but other than that everything will fit just fine...after all its the same car...with slightly different style of exterior parts....

    here's a question,
i more then likly going to buy the hood and just freakin test it cuz i cant find a rolla to test fit,
so if it doesnt work would anyone here be interested in buying one of the VIS invader style carbon hoods for the 98-00 rolla? I'd be selling and shipping it for exactly what i pay for it, (i will be getting a discount directly from VIS because im doing a test fit) so it would be a little cheaper then the 600 it costs right now for the hood /w shipping, not sure what the discount will be yet but i keep you guys posted.

the hoods from 98-02 are identical, and i'm almost certain that it will bolt to your 98 prizm without a problem.

Go rent a 98-02 rolla and take the hood off and do test fit on your car man.

I hope to soon have an answer for your question. I have this crazy lady I work with and she says I can try on her hood. May take a week or two to get the time, but I'll tell you what happens.
