    audio input adapter for radio?

Is there a type of adapter that I can connect to the cd changer input of the radio which would allow me to hook up rca cables for a external xm radio unit? Is it true that the back of the radios on the 03's-05's are different than on the 98's? I want to get one that I can use on my 98 but also use on a used 04 which Im prolly going to get in a month or so. Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, why not just get an XM ready deck?... I'm sure that'd be much easier to deal with.

i knew that was going to be one of the answers. Happens to be that I received the roady 2 for a present and I didnt want to bother with buying an external unit. Besides I was planning on keeping the stock stereo stereo when I get a new corolla and also I want to get the portable xm roady to go kit.

another thing is I wanted to be able to bring the unit inside and hook it up to my home stereo without having to have two units and be billed twice

Ah... being that I'm Hawaii satelite radio doesn't work down here... so they don't sell it... so I don't know how it works... I was under the assumption that you could have one account and it'll work w/ x-ammount of receivers... or something along those lines. sorry bro:(

if u get xm, there is a unit, called Roady XT, it has really good fm transimssion, there is basically no difference between using the line in on alpine and the radio reception, sometimes i switch back and forth to using line in or the fm method, just depends on the unit u like
