HRP = Hawaii Raceway Park is going to be closing for good sometime very soon and once they do that we'll be see more headliners like these.

That really sucks. Street racing is still an issue here though even with 3 "local" tracks.

They're going to start construction on a new Road Course in VA beach soon... Can't wait!

Never been to the tracks here in CO cause I don't have a car that's worth taking but someday soon I hopefully will.

Where are the three "local" tracks here in the DC/MD/VA area? I know about MIR, but are there others?

hmmm. I don't have anything to do tomorrow... I might take the rolla to the track to get a baseline run if they're open.

Theres MIR, Old dominion (only 8th mile) and 75-80. It would be 4 but I don't think Capitol is open anymore.

"Local" road courses include Summit Point and Virginia International Raceway. Both are excellent tracks.

I know from the commercials that MIR is in Budds Creek, MD, but I have no idea where that is. It sounds far from the Silver Spring area, which is where I live

Edit: Fuck MIR... they don't open until March!

Damn you guys are lucky. HRP is the ONLY track here on this island. I'm not too sure about the other islands but if they close this one ... we are just Sh*t out of luck. The most messed up thing is that the track pavement is crappy and rumor has it that it's like so many mili-seconds off. So if you ran a 14 in the 1/4 it's actually 13-something.
