Pre-school children were asked the following question:



"In which direction is the bus pictured below traveling?"







Look carefully at the picture.



Do you know the answer?



The only possible answers are "left" and "right."

Give a reason why.

I've seen this before, pretty good question. For most grown ups - pretty tough to answer, because we would over analyze the problem. Easier for kids because they seem them all the time and look at objects differently.
I asked my son and he said LEFT (basing this on the shuttle busses at school). When I asked are you sure, he said "yes". How do you know?

Exactly. I think its because they teach us as we start to get older, "you need to look at the big picture." Only thing wrong is when oyu look at the big picture, you don't see all of the details, that we try to have the kids pay attention to.
