no cause known, but he's been known to have a alcohol and other drug substance problems, my guess he over dosed, or massive heart attack. It'll leak out in a few days wat the cause of death was... but wow, wat a shame, 38 years old and looked perfectly healthy

he only drank - didn't take any other drugs.
to quote my roommate - who knew him, worked with him, and was trained by him...
that picture is my roommate standing with Eddie. Art's 6'1", and in that picture probably weighed about 310...and Art's never taken a steroid, either. he just uses supplements like Muscle Milk to help bulk up and keep that bulk.

Actually in the news conference, his nephew stated that he did openly admit to having a drinking and drug problem. He said he was pretty much an drug addict. But he never mentioned what drugs he did use other than pain killers. He also said that on 11/15/05, it would of been 4 years since he's been sober.

at one time, he was...but when Art met him, he'd just gotten off the drugs and was still drinking.

in other words...the drugs didn't kill him. :)

Hopefully it wasn't. All those years of drug use and drinking can take a toll on anyones body. No one really knows what his health was like. he may have looked healthy but no one knows but him and his doctor. This may sound bad but I hope he died of natural causes. I would hate to hear he relapsed and OD'd.

eh...from what my roommate told me, he was pretty damned honest about his life. unless he relapsed and was completely ashamed about it(and successfully hid it from everyone), i think it was a heart condition from all the caffeine/lack of sleep.

i see how my roommate is now(he works 25-hour days on a regular basis), and he tells me that what they deal with is so much worse than how he's living now...i can't fathom the toll it takes on the body.
