5000k vs 6000k hid on Corolla

I'm getting ready to buy an HID kit for my car but can't deside between the 5000k kit and the 6000k kit. So far i came to the conclusion that the McCulloch kit is the best way to go for me. Also i'm not sure if i want to go wit the bixenon style so i can have high beams, im not sure if its worth spending the extra money, not even sure it will all fit in the housing.

Also ebay is probably where i'll buy it since every other site charges 100 more for the same kit.

So anyone have any samples pics?

    5000k kit from ebay

    6000k kit from ebay

I dont' see y i should buy it from xenon depot or xenonking and pay an extra 100 for the same kit and same warranty

    edit: links work now

get the 8000k. I bought the McCulloch and have no regrets. they are blue when you first turn them on, then they turn really white. I also got the bi-xenon because I hate knowing the my high beams will no longer work. You'll never know when you're gonna need them. and yes they will fit just fine.

Go 4000k, its pure white light, anything higher is purple or blue tint. I guess its personal preference but I like 4000k HID.

Do you have a picture of your set? When you say bi-xenon or you talking about the projector style lenses with the motorized flap or two seperate sets of HID bulbs? I really want to see how it looks. I did a Porsche Phillips HID conversion on my car and installed a projector style housing like you find on BMW's but there not the Bi-Xenons so I still run my high beams seperate as 100w halogen but if they make an HID kit for the high beams I may be interested.

This is a pic of my headlamp assembly

Notice how I still have the high beams standard, I would like to toss and HID bulb in there if someone makes a kit. Also if you know any places where I can get shouds for the 2.75" projectors I would love to have one cause the cheap metal they use in the projectors kinda looks crappy without the shoud covering it ;)

only HID clsoe to 4000 that i saw is 4300 which is oem hid light. But it does give a yellow tint to it. 5000k and 6000k are closer, and anyway even if i did get even 6000k, it pushes 2800lumins, my silver stars push 1500 on high beams...

and i will get the bixenon ones cause i know it'll drive me insane that i don't have high beams

Checkout the for sale forums on HIDPlanet. I dunno if they'll fit because our housings are kinda small, but check out the E46 Single Xenon Shrouds, or the A4 shrouds. (http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/)

I've got Valeo ECE spec lenses and Sylvania Xenarc 6000k's. I had to sacrifice high beams cuz bixenons are too big to fit our housings, but i've never needed them after I switched over. It's nice to have the 01-02 headlamps cuz you can have the best of both worlds

no when I say Bi-Xenon I mean for headlights that uses one bulb for both highs and lows like H4 which I have. No I don't have projectors, mine is just direct plug to my headlights. By they way I have a 99 corolla. I posted pics of the light here, search the post.

I have true 4300k HID's, I looked up the bulb and its absolutly pure white. Now yellow not even a possibility or a hint of it :) So maybe with brands of bulbs that changes or something but phillips HID 4300k is pure white.
