How do you get HIDs with the JDM H4 headlights?

Since they have a harness to convert 9006/9005 into H4, would you need some sort of hybrid HID kit? If anyone has the JDM headlights for the 93-97 and has HIDs, please exlpain how you did it.

why don't you just buy an H4 HID kit straight out?

jspexae102 has HID's with his jdm headlights

light output sucks imo for HID's..but that's because he aimed them all the way down so he doesn't blind drivers

Are the Koito JDM headlights aimable? I know the ones I bought off of ebay don't allow you to adjust the beam direction.

Anyway, if you're familiar with the JDM headlights, you know you have to make a harness that goes from your stock 9005 and 9006 hook ups to an H4 hookup. HID kits are either going to be for 9005/9006 or for H4. We need an HID kit that had 9005/9006 on one end and H4 on the other. See what I mean?

    How did Jspex do it?

They're not Koito. They're the blackhousing H4 ones being sold on Ebay, so whatever that means.

WTF you jackass! took a pic of my car without permission!

My HID setup is fully custom, ballists are OEM DOT Hella off an audi, bulbs are 4300K D2S, The adapter bases/glare shield are by Caspers electronics. I did all the custom wiring using relays and made it plug in to the 9006 socket by hacking up a old 9006 bulb with a dremel. The whole thing cost me around 200-250.

I will go back to Halogen Setup soon because I dont like the output in the halogen housings and I don't feel like hacking up my $400 OEM Koito/ Toyota Japan headlights to put in a projector (projectors in a large H4 housing is weird looking too). But I do love the pure white light it puts out. I have some PIAA Spark Blue H4's at home but I want to get Koito White Beams bulbs instead, so if anyone want to buy them, give me a PM.

Now you can get bi-xenons which have a magnetic switch enabling them to have high and low in the same housing. I'm thinking about getting a setup like that, but it's going to be expensive.

Whenever I get some money I'm just going to send my headlights to www.illusion-lighting.com and have them handle everything. Crazy expensive, but worth it not to have to worry about shit.
