dont tell me youre that fucking retarded?!!?!?

ae86 is all we got here in the US, even the sr5s are AE86s. SR5 became available here in 84, then in 85 the GT-S was released. sr5 and gts were both released in coupe and hatchback form. please.... no ignorant posts... it should be a rule.

yea, i was bout to say, thats not an ae86, lol....i dont really like the rear ends of the sr5s but if it were an ae86, then that car would rock my world...one thing i dont like bout it is the cf fenders....unless the guy was goin for a complete cf theme, at first glance, it looks like the cf fenders came from a junkyard n he had yet to paint them....

i dont know man. i admit in retrospect what i started that post with makes me look like a prick. i know everyone has to learn too, so people make mistakes. but there is one simple fact when it comes to not looking like a fool, know what youre talking about before you say something.

but seriously '85 to '87 was the reign of the RWD GT-S, and it came in both hatch and coupe form. '84 to '87 the anemic, yet identically chassid, AE86 SR-5 was also released in hatch and coupe form. differences were many when you get into the mechanics.... but basically the front bumper didnt have the low lip like the gt-s, nor were they color keyed to the body. the sr-5 was equipped with the 4a-c, a carburated little soldier that barely gets er done. also the rear end was equipped with thinner axles and drum brakes. lsd was NOT an option like in the gt-s. if you look at the VIN!!!! the gt-s is labeled "AE88" and the sr-5 is actually labeled "AE86".... thats the main deliniation when looking at used cars. but right next to the vin plate on the firewall youll see the chassis code "AE86" on both models. the AE85 was never realeased here.... its even more useless than the sr-5 for any sporting purposes. google and club4ag can learn you well if you really want to

    another dull mind....

see the vin in the listing people?! jt2ae88.... AE86 GT-S.... please dont make me go get a gun and choot myself to make sure this is, in fact, really happening on a board that revolves around COROLLAS!!!

there were gts's in 84 :p ..... i didn't think so until a friend of mine bought one (registered as 84 and has an early 84 build date). the owner was the original owner, only 78K on it (but that didn't stop the timing belt from snapping 2 times) and it was an older teacher who owned it.....

12,000 is hard to swallow for a car that old. Though, he does have quite a bit done to back up that price. I would pay for a well built car.
