So what was the total cost of this project after it was all said and done? And why is the trd ecu needed, will the stock ecu with a standalone or piggy back with a tune not work?

i might have a supercharger for sell soon(i have a change of plans in my build )
yes a piggy back will work you will need a tune on that which isnt really a problem.

The TRD ecu helps us out in Cali with emissions.Piggy backs are kind of illegal here

I bought the Supercharger kit for about $1000 if I remember correctly. The radiator was $100. The 9th gen ecu was about $60. I made my own wiring harness. The radiator hoses were maybe $30. .. I can't think of anything else I needed.

Is the bigger radiator necessary or does it just move the radiator hose to a different spot?

Oh ok thanks Irvin, pics explain it all. Which radiator did you go with? And do you have the part numbers of the radiator hoses you ended up having to use?

Supra Non turbo 89-93 Radiator. I think I used 2 different hoses for the upper. A 9th gen Corolla upper mixed with I think an 8th

Ok thanks and what about the bottom did the 8th gen hose work? And was it hard to get your fans mounted to that radiator?

Where did you get your radiator, did you use an ebay one or get one from an auto parts store?
