    I don't like NPF

But no I think the front bumper is the same, but it doesn't fit as well like you said, and the front lip doesn't look like it goes on that bumper at all, and there are no side skirts to match...

It is actually the same lip as what I had on before, just painted white.
Yes it is not made for this car as I mentioned it is a Cressida lip, which is square and not rounded, but you heat it up and bend into shape.
I still want to redo the centre but to not have such a significant point
The bumper is not different in looks than the stock, but is freshly painted. It does show how different it is to the US one.
Still getting to the side skirts as there was no stock.

The lip does make the front look different, almost more aggressive and solid as it squares it off.
If I could get my hands on the lip I want I would not have opted for this, but Life is too short to drive a Stock!!!

I will hear on Sunday what the ZA guys think of it.
We have a total different feel to looks here.

I think if the lip didn't separate from the bumper on the sides/ends, and there was no gap, then it would be better

Not sure what gap you seeing as I made sure there is NO gap between the lip and bumper.

used 30 screws to create a seamless edge

just that the lip looks all uneven and deformed all along the entire bottom edge. It's unfortunate that your car is white, which is the worst color for showing all defects.

    that 'gap" is unavoidable.
Go look at previous pics on the shape of that corner piece.
It has some weird twist and turn.

    and they are straight.

but why no one said anything before I sent it to paint

well it looked fine before painting, while it was still black, and before you had to make it fit

I had to make the bumper fit on the car.
the lip has 30 drywall screws holding it, so there are holes drilled which would have been exactly the same before painting.
    Anyway
Looking at getting a Nissan STI lip and painting it as it is not a split piece, but a solid lip.

    lol

but I mean that BECAUSE it's painted white, it's easier to see the "defects", vs leaving it black

I like that, hopefully yours comes out as nice lol! But I'd worry about side skirts first.

I used 30 to make sure there is no gap between the bottom of the bumper and the lip. so added one inbetween where one was needed and used 2 extra in the centre to keep the split firmly together.
Also I did want it to be as rigid as possible due to the state of the SA roads.
Remeber here if you drive straight you should be pulled over for drinking as you are not missing the Potholes.
awaiting the pics from Sunday's Charity Run, will see what she looks like through a proper lens
I might have gone a bit over board, but I know nothing will snag in between and potentailly want to tear it off.

    Regarding the Side skirts
I did go to a shop to get some advise and see what is available
Nothing that looks good as the one's on that Green and Amber ones on page 1, or even that white one.
I have posted what we have here for this model so I need to look at other car model kits to get what will look good.
Best they offered me was the one you get for the e30 325is box beemer
    e30(11).jpg
    but it is fibreglass

I did see a good looking fleared skirt on a Nissan STi parking off, almost like the Green one, just a bit fatter

What about double-sided tape? That's what we use here to accomplish the same thing, and even better, since the tape runs along 100% of the length.

Maybe if it was a lip that was sitting over the bottom edge of the bumper, like the 20v smiley face lip, yes
The lip has a very thin edge, not to mention the bottom of the bumper.

See here how thin the lip is from the bottom
    2014-07-13_13.45.45.jpg

    and here the top.
    2014-07-26 11.54.25.jpg

Also, dbl sided tape does not work very well in our climate or ensures that something will stay on forever.
I used screws that have been treated for rust as even aluminium and stainless steel rusts here.
With the lip having to bend like this it could have also not have want to keep the shape of the bumper and pull it self loose.

So Fine - I get it.
You HATE it, but that's OK.
I also did not know what it would look like and was an experiment as NO one has done this before to paint it.
It does look a bit funny on the corners from a certain angle, but still looks 110% better than the stock look and full front it does change the shape of the car tremendously to a more squared look.
At least I have the BALLS to try something new and fresh and see how it works.
If I could I would get this setup
    AE111_16.jpg
    but alas...
no more available, not even from over seas from the islands

So now the next thing is to maybe acquire an STi lip and paint it white.

Who thinks that the Nissan side skirt would look good on my car??
Or should I rather look at the beemer style?

Was thinking for the rear, as I did read about it on here, to use the Honda Civic Type-R front lip on the rear.
or maybe that on the front?

The STI Lips is becoming very common in South Africa and Cape Town with every 2nd Toyota having this lip if they can't find the OEM Cressida lip. I can get you a number for a guy that makes STI lips in Cape Town.

The original 20v RXI/RSI sideskirts would look much better but I personally hate side skirts.

    Thanks Ash

The STi lip works better than the OEM Cressida lip on the RXi shape due too the shape.
Please drop me the details so I may enquire about it on pricing and shipping.
Most of them are just black or maybe got the Carbon Fibre. Not a lot have been painting them to color code with the car.
Only seen one done and that was on a Nissan Sentra.

I feel the same way about the OEM 2ov side skirts and rear pieces as I Hate the ends going up to the arches, makes it look ugly and bulky.

Next project wil be to order one of these. - Thanks Ash.
Right after I fix the body work...
She had an ass grab from a light pole on the right cheek...
slightly pushed in rear side panel, cracked bumper and corner light.
Clear tape is making it look better for now at least, and keeping it together.
