If your attempting to track or drive on mountain roads that don't require clearance, then invest in coilovers. If your gonna ride kybs, with stock springs, stocks sways then go for a strut bar. It's gonna link everything for maximizing your suspension

I did some reading on them most designs suck and dont do shit due to having pivot points which make them useless.

Actually, the pivot points really don't make much of a difference because the (2-point) strut braces don't typically manage torsional forces. It's tension that goes through it when you corner, because the strut towers will otherwise flex apart from each other. That's why some designs that pivot use adjustable tie rod ends, because they are strong when pushed or pulled.

Any solid one piece will be better than adjustable ones. Might be a placebo effect but I'd like to tell myself my TRD bar made a difference. I think a 3 piece firewall-connecting bar will be that much better.

True, but there are also moments in the body about the axis of the vehicle near the outside wheels, which a solid bar *might* resist better in theory. I seriously doubt the flimsy TRD bar is better than a 3 piece cheapo for this car.

The real advantage to the 3 piece bars is that you can torque them and preload the towers at the top for extra stiffness, which the static TRD bar won't provide. This is why I run the 3 piece, thick as hell, no-name bar from procarparts.com back in '02 for $30.

James do you have pics of that cheapo 3 point bar? You were too distinguished to pop your hood 2 years ago at toyotafest, and the only pics I've seen, didn't have it installed.

I will someday. It's just a little too big for Scott to ship it out, or I would have had one back in 2009 or so
