    cough-cough
wipes away the dust and cobweb, but leaves a worm for the poor soul of a spider.
Picks up the Captian,s Log and starts chiselling away at the wood for the next chapter.

So news from Falkor is that she had to go for boots twice, as the 1st set was faulty and had some nicks in the rubber.
Still need to go repair the buckled wheel, but had become so bad I am on the steel spare, std 13".
Also now after about 50K Kilometers she is running another bearing after running almost dry on oil, I have no idea where that went. So currently sitting on 340K +/- Kilometers I will have to spend some serious cash to keep heron the road and in line for the track.

    You guys know NRG?
    https://www.getnrg.com/products/exterior-products/lug-nuts/800-series
Looking at their lug nuts. $30 for 4, which is $120 for a set, Im looking at R900++, but I hear they are much better than the D1 spec replica's, for a slightly lesser price of R800
Was wondering if it could work out cheaper if one of you lot would send it to me? not sure what is the best way and I suspect Gold is closest to me.

    Shopping list:
    Lug nuts = R1000
Tires stock = R2500 for set.
    Tires semi = R2000 for 2
    CV boot = R1300
    engine redo = just bearings = +/- R3000
engine redo = with crank and other extras. 5K-10K
That already is about double my pay and you never even see more than 1/4 of that.

So I am not in a happy place as someone STOLE my freakin RUM...
or maybe I just drank it all, no matter, I cannot remember now.

you can get a good set for $50 with locks

heck even my $20 tuner lugs that i bought off ebay last over a year and still were fine.

you dont want to go off buying expensive stuff when you have other alternatives.

    Ahoy!
    1 doller is R10.59

I do not want to cheap out and the nuts I can get here are seriously ugly, as in they look like the things they have on some wheels caps that imitate rims.
This is why I ask for you all to have a look at the site link I posted and tell me if it is worth me getting those.
Looks like $30 with out locknut.
are these any good or Not?
I have seen what happens with cheap ones and do not want to get dissapointed.
    Thanks guys.

    In other news:
Took her in for the 3rd time to get that darn CV sorted - this time it was the inside clamp that failed and sprayed grease all over as I drove her.
That meant I missed out on the Massive Racing wknd at the track.
Had drifting event on Sat and Autocross on Sunday.
This track is in a friends back yard so he does not have to comply to Motoring SA, but has his own better setup.
So SAD I could not go
But PISSED OFF that NONe of my mates who went would offer me a lift GRRRRRR!!!!!!
    oh Well

I always get it, I was merely staying on topic for me mate.

Personally I would wait until you can find locking ones.

This tells me you did NOT look at the site.
On the page the link opens there they have lock nuts ranging from $27 to $32 depending on color and size.

    So again

Are these any good or NOT??!

I have used a brand called Drag out here in the States, they make crappy rims but good lug nuts. I don't know if they are out in your area, melady.

    Thank you for that Mack
NRG is also not out in my area
I will be importing them from the States, hence I was asking you guys who live there if you know of it and if there is another/better brand.
These type of nuts we need to import as there are none availible in SA of that kind.
    Will look into DRAG
    Got a link maybe?
