The celica seats look good, nice job OP. Is this also possible by re welding the corolla brackets onto the celica seats?

I did that to my celica seats, transfering the corolla brackets on the celica rails...... but the rail width on the celica is 1/2 inch shorter on both sides than the corollas so the corolla brackets have to be half way off the rail on all 4 ends.....get me?

Yeah, im pretty sure i understand what your saying. Is it dangerous doing it that way? I remember i have a link saved to some archived diys by vamp, one including welding the seats somehow. Ill post it when i find it on my computer.

yeah. its safe as long as your a good welder and trust your weld. if not find someone whos good. i am proficient enough at welding, mig and stick but not tig. i have a tig too, just not much experience using it. so when i need things to be tig welded, for now, i turn to a friend of mine who has built chassis for nascar and hot rods as well as many many other things. lol

I took them 1 year but no machine available :(

What i did to my seats was drill the brackets on the rails with screws, weld all 4 sides and then bought some of that play dough crap sold in auto parts stores and put it all around the bracket...now the seat is firm and strong.

but you cant really see the welds because i put that quiksteel on top and around of the mount to have it as a secondary safety grip i guess you can say? But i had my uncle do the welds for me.

I wanted the seats to be super strong so that mack does not shake them violently at toyotafest 14 just like how he did on 13.

I really doubt that the quicksteel is doing anything there lol.
