crashed the accord not bad.........i think

a little while a go i was driving to a friends house to help him out with his truck, its would not start. it ahd some bad wiring. i re-did the wiring and fixed for him. he gave me 20 bucks, which was cool since i was not going to charge him, i actually owed it to him but what the heck, i needed money for gas. well on my way back i was driving (slick roads mind you from the light rain shower we just had) so i'm doing about 40-45 ish and i far away and then bam. next thing i know it landed in the ditch. the lady in front of me braked (her lights turned on at the last minute as police informed me) and by the time i stopped i turned right to avoid hitting her and i went straight into the ditch. i barely nicked her car ( 2000 FORD Taurus) it turns out her brakes were messing up and the brake switch turned on at the last minute. thank god i was driving below the limit (55mph). blah, the hood of the car is now popping upward about 3 inches. i looked at it with the flashlight and i noticed the center part of the frame it pushed upward. the witnesses say she was at fault. BTW i still got tapped on my rear bumper at the same time. Now my "SRS" airbag light is back on once again and the check engine as well. Tomorrow i will take a really good look at it an let you all know what happens. Right now my mom's pissed as hell since the car is barely in the process of being switched under to my name, hehe.

i just took a look at the accord and its leaking oil from the oil pan seal. the frame it bent like hell under the car. it got pushed up and now the hood is pushed up. everything else still works though. aww shit this is gonna suck. there is more damage than i expected. when the hood is closed (somewhat) it looks normal with light scratches on the front and when you look under it it looks like someone got a sledge to it.

it got bent the shit out under the car. there is severe frame damage.

yep the subframe which holds the engine is screwed up, front motor mount is broken in pieces (barely noticed that this morning.) the main frame (a/c condensor and oil coolers are contained) is comepletely squashed though everything still works. the bumper is pushed outward a bit.

the funny thing is that today i was going to take out a loan so that i can fix the rolla a bit more but i guess i will just use it as a down payment for a another car. i ran into a 2000 Honda Prelude Si (it says H22 something, i dunno shit about these cars just that they haul ass). its black on black w/a factory lip kit. for about 10K dollars is that too much or not.

preludes only haul ass if you get weight reduction done to them or figure out a way to remove a bunch of excess weight. the car weighs a ton, but it does have a strong engine (H22)

btw its a sh. this vehicle is all stock. and since i have the rolla for a project car i figured the prelude is good for regular driving. it pulls good and responds well and seems to be taken care of only the high mileage. but i still think its ok though.

our banks are in the process of changing the car over to my name since i am taking over payments for about 10 months which is the remaining payoff. she took over payments for the rolla its easier for her than it is for me. so i drive my car that she is paying for and she drives the car that i am paying for. the rolla's payment is 230 a month and the accord is 472 a month both including insurance.

tomorrow i will post pics. my friend has them in his camera. we took the photos earlier today. i got a call from my insurance agent that they will either fix the car or give me the option of having it paid off and i keep it, but it would take a long time.
