I found a couple deals on some decent craftsman hydraulic bottle jacks today. Not sure how long theyll be on sale but here's the info.

12 Ton Pro Craftsman Hydraulic Bottle Jack 25.59 w/ free ship to store
    and
2 Ton Craftsman Hydraulic Bottle Jack $12.74 w/ free ship to store

I snagged the 12 ton, might be too big for my rolla but the 2 ton is so cheap I might snag that too, itll beat the fuck out of the scissor jack. The floor jack I have now is probably 20 years old and only works half the time, so I think it's a good time to upgrade.

Yeah they really do suck. The one in the Corolla was in terrible shape, but it worked. When I got the Lexus, the jack was flawless, rotated perfectly smooth. Now it's really hard to use.

I don't think it was based on what it's lowered on though.

Not based on what it's lowered on, but it IS based on how low it is. The jack operates best at a specific spot of cranking.... obviously, the flatter the jack is when it starts pushing on the car (because it's lower), the harder it is on the jack.

Oh... no yeah I know that, but my jack is basically stuck. That's what I was referring to.
