aint the wrangler topless? wouldnt it be hard to drive on snow without the roof and the doors? my whiteboy friend's wrangler doesnt have doors nor a roof it only has an I4, a stick, offroad tires and seats its a nice truck to drive here in the desert, not sure about snow though. you might want the liberty it has a door ,a roof and heating, I rented one but i got the 4 cylinder which sucks:( the rental dont have a V6.

Anyway his is a 2000 wrangler, so maybe now it has a roof and doors
    I'll check

Since i'm poor... next car will be a 96-96 Corolla with low mileage (if I buy it within the next year), and if its only in a few years, probably a 9th gen Corolla about 2~3 years old...

Nice choices e_andree - we were also looking at them as well this past weekend. Test drove the 330Ci with the SP package (18" wheels) and it drove very well - little more isolated that I would have expected from such low profile tires, but definitely better than the 330i standard I tested the same day. Didn't have a chance to test the M3 - might do that later - if they have one to test.

We also checked out the new Audis - also very nice. I'm actually leaning toward the Audis mainly for the amount of stuff you get for the price. Will get spanked by the BMW in most speed tests - but I'm not really interested in that anyway. Audi also had more heft to them (good and bad) and had more standard safety features. Plus for the same price - you can get the Quattro drivetrain and reasonable MPG. Tested the A4 Avant version with the V6 - had decent performance - even though it did outweight the BMW by 600lbs or 800lbs or so. Sized just a hair bigger than the BMW - but not really sure why BMW is classed as a sub-compact and Audi as a compact?

Another possibility was a Rav4 - woman of the house thinks it is cute and thinks it would be a better choice than the ones we looked at earlier. Lot bigger than some people think and filled to the brim with options. We'll see who wins this one.
