Pretty much this helps out, gives ideas on how to do the rear disc conversion... You need to have 94-99 Celica rear rotors drilled for 4x100. Find a shop that can do this, someone or yourself.

The parts i used for this swap came off a 6th gen celica GT. the 5th and 6th gen Celica GT use the same rear disc setup.

You need the backing plate, caliper, e-brake lines (not 100% sure, i ran into some trouble with them, might be able to use the corolla lines) a set of new rotors drilled to 4x100, brake pads, shoes, and some brake cleaner.

    Tools needed
    Jack and stands
    10mm deep socket
    14mm regular size socket
    any extension
    any socket wrench
Drill with bit that is the same size as the bolt that holds the hub

You will need to drill around 3mm closer on all 4 mounting points on the backing plate of the rear disc to properly fit them to the hub because they are a little off on size...

What i did to drill the holes was placed the hub on the backing plate of the rear disc and basically followed off of that the holes....You will want to leave 2 bolts on the hub so that it does not move when you drill it, maybe one on each end, the other 2 you will drill.

This is pretty much the only custom fabrication that needs to be done, the rest is pretty much simple.

First things first, raise up your car with a jack. Use safety stands because this DIY requires for you to crawl under your car. remove your wheel.

    remove your drum cover
    [IMG]

remove all 4 (14mm) bolts that hold the hub and the drum.

Install the backing plates from the Celica...use the same 4 bolts used.

    Install your rotor.

install the caliper, along with the brake pads.

Make sure you have removed your old brake drum by now, swap over the lines to the celica caliper. make sure you bleed your brakes aswell.

HERE COMES THE FUN PART, CRAWLING UNDER THE CAR!

Remove your heat shield to get better access to the e-brake lines...unless you have skinny arms then dont.

you have 3 bolts holding the e-brake lines

To remove the e-brake lines you need to twist the top and pull out, its very easy...do the same for both on removal and install, you will also need to pop off the yellow tabs both times..

You are done with the swap, remember to check your brake fluid levels n such. If your e-brake is a little loose you can remove your center console to expose your e-brake handle. You have a wire that is being held by a nut. You can loosen that and adjust your brake drums on how effective you want the handle to be.

Im still not 100% done with this project since i need to adjust the proportioning valve and other stuff...I will keep updating this thread.

Yeah this isn't entirely helpful as a DIY step by step, as it sits.

I've never said I'm not gonna do it. And I didn't say it's not helpful as a DIY. I said as a step by step it's not. Ones interest in a DIY has no bearing on it's relevance or quality. Dumbass. You're using words like "basically" and your pictures are blurry and at weird angles, using phrases like "this and such". I have had interest in doing this swap, just not any time soon. Stop assuming shit and learn to take constructive criticism. It's a great DIY to show a general idea of how to do it.

It's not trolling, I'm giving my input on an open forum. Nobody has a splinter anywhere here, you just get defensive awfully fast.
