My 2000 Coonrolla (Work In Progress)

I've stayed confined to my intro thread but today I decide to branch out. Haven't done much to my Coonrolla besides minor repairs, replaced Power Steering Pump, replaced exhaust manifold bolts and springs, I just put these TRD wheels on that I scored off craigslist for $100, put a new head unit in and lets not forget that sweet coon tail! I might buy some mud guards off Mack tomorrow if the stars align. I want to add some other things to it like a decent muffler, cuz the one in the picture is depressing and looks like a turd. I want to get the strut bar, possibly some new springs, cold air intake (dont know how hard this job is), replace the dash with one with Tachy, get 01/02 bumper and lights, add tint 35% all around and upgrade my speakers. I'm poor ass cheapskate so I can afford to put a few hundred into it a month and do all repairs myself. Any pointers or places to start or any cheap installs i can do at home? Here's some photos.

I've seen some tutorials online and possibly this forum for cluster info thanks Mack and will take you up on that when the time comes, seems pretty easy to pull off. With the new wheels on I notice a slight rub on the rear driver side when I pull into my driveway, don't think its a big deal though.

if you need a tachometer cluster i have one with both S and touring gauge faces.

I'd love to but think that's out of the price range at the moment.

So this driver rear wheel is rubbing when I take right turns and go up small inclines. Today I had a passenger in the car specifically in the back passenger side and he can't weigh more than 75lbs (its a child) and that shit was rubbing on every bump. I assume this will be a bigger concern once I put the box in the trunk and have a passenger or two. I've been told I can get a rubber bumper/spacer to raise it slightly? Can anyone confirm this? Or know what I need specifically to raise the back an inch or two? I have "advanced autoparts" and "AutoZone" both close by. Wanna get this squared away before the weekend... Wish the front was as low as the back and back was high as the front lol

What's weird too is in the photos I took right after I put the wheels on look fine, but now I believe the drivers rear looks much lower.

your gonna need to roll your fenders or do it the cheap way and use a hammer and lightly tap the lip of the arch....

I don't think its rubbing the fender wall but something on the suspension perhaps? Its on the inner part of the wheel on top near the shocks? Oddly enough didn't do it on the ride home tonight or pulling in the driveway? But was rubbing like crazy when I had my friend in the car tonight around 450lbs of blubber between the two of us. I stopped at a buddies house to show me GTA and he had a friend over he's around 400 they wanted to get food.... I said were not taking my car haha.

I don't think theyre the OG's but pretty sure the left one is shit. So today i tested it had my right hand man look at the wheel as i sat on the trunk, it's hitting the lip of the fender. So two quick options rubber mallet and 2x4 and man handle that bitch, or get the spacers. I spent $5 bucks got the spacers in there and now its tight as a broad on her wedding day. Sat my fat ass on it and it was no longer hitting.

Definitely going to get the struts soon though its a must and will get the fender rolled by a pro if needed. Mack I might have to wait another week or two on the mud guards but I want em'! If I can make deals with anyone else it bring it on! Coonrolla SUV is no longer rubbing! My homie said hes not helping with the cluster lol he did his Ford Ranger and his shits all jacked up he told me laughed at me and told me good luck!

Here's an unusual request is there a way to disable a rear passenger door without it looking like shit? I want to make it so one side you cant open from the inside but can open it from the outside. The reason being I work with kids with Autism and one of the kids I work with I drive and lately he's been pulling at the handle (i have manual everything YAY! VE!) and I want to avoid all disaster. Fill it with silicone and sand it out? I dunno any ideas?

im sure all the corollas have this but on the door itself when you open it you have a small black tab towards where the lock is at, you want to slide it to the opposite side...i can take a picture later of it but its hard to miss...

so ita no surprise that the interior on the corolla looks like a hotel drapery. Is there an easy to take that panel off and lace it with new fabric?

yup, for some reason the 3m headliner glue i used on the door panels did not work all that great, the rear driver side one peel off completely, fell in a dirty puddle and said fuck it....bought the original S black door panel and replaced it....3 to go now....

yup, thats what i did...but over time it fell off...my headliner is still great tho....holding up, no sag
