    has anyone used that fabric dye stuff, i wanna dye my door panels and seats to a dark grey, does it wear off at all??

    I would assume it to wear off... unless you get some sort of UV resistant dye. I work in printing and stuff fades all the time unless you have a UV coating put on to it... even then, it only prolongs the fading and isn't as severe. Another things is that you may want to dye it more than once... I'd assume that to work.

    i wouldnt trust it

    even factory dyed fabrics fade over time, this stuffs gonna do it quicker

    I don't know why I didn't post this sooner, but couldn't you do that fabric thing for the door pannel and then just purchase seat covers... I understand that you may be on a budget, however, it'd probably be the best route... I could just see too many things going wrong with fabric dye.

    I think about 150-200per seat + material cost depending on location.

    or buy pre made covers (not seat covers but the actual fabric attached to the cushion) and install them. I've seen my buddy do it, all you really need is some pliers to bend the rings that holds the covers on.

    a local company charges me 150 for all seats excluding fabric. but they already include removal and installation. your best bet is to get them re-done since the dye usualyl either fades or rubs off too easily.
