    Will This Work

OK My cousin just bought a junk xA and the engine is cracked the cars bumpers are totalled and the 17" are scraped badly but he did get it for $300 at an auction he is asking me if he can fit a 1ZZ corolla engine there?, or should he just rebore the 1.5 to a 1.8or9 1NZ? please tell me if someone had tried this before and if its gonna fail and also my cousin swaps honda engines so he has nothing on Toyotas and yes this will be my first engine swap.

just think clearance issues and engine mounting.

the engine bay space is so small you are probably best modifing the stock motor.

it might but i think you may have to check the electronics system, if you get that schematic it may work. it may be minor differences between the two but you are probably better off modifying the stock motor.

Yeah we opened the engine and the problem was just a cracked piston sleeves and the 2nd cylinder is the one that got the crack its this previous owner who street raced an xA is the one responsible for all this but it does have nice stuff in it like a Greddy engine mapper, AEM CAI, a Twin custom borla exhaust a 4-2-2 custom header with ceramic coating, and a full size spare tire with Goodyear Eagle. and yes this are the bad ones it has a used condom on the glovebox a pink thong with cum on it with a matching bra, no side mirrors entire front end is scraped and cracked, dust everywhere and a f**ked up engine. But all in all we had a good project car at a price of a PSP with accessories and 1 game. ;-) and yes we are just going to rebore the pistons to 1.8 and put a custom turbo,4 Bride Racing seats and a Pacific Blue paint job its a black xA now,a nice clarion enterntainment system and a PS3 when it comes out, and sorry my cuz dont want to take a picture because he is going to ship it to the Philippines and use it as a show car he doesnt want people to know its a piece of junk b4.

The swap is possible. People had swapped a 2zz into an Echo.

We checked at Toyota a 1ZZ-FE cost 6000 dollars and the parts guy didnt tell if its used or new and were just going to fix it for also $6000 including mods and a paint job

Or if your some of you are selling a 1ZZ for a reasonable price tell us as long as its not totalled.

    More Stuff He Bought

How come its a hell lot cheaper there at texas?
Here in las vegas it they give you fucked up prices.

But still where just going for the newer cracked engine, and we just ordered the sparco torino seats for $599ea we bought just 2 and just going to redo the upholstery to match the sparcos its in navy blue, plus 230 dollars for the 4point seatbelts and we also kept the old 3Points, got the scion leather steering wheel in grey,9 seat belt pads 6front,3rear, race pedals in blue and 2 floor grips, the new alarm system arrived already it has a cellphone like remote and can start the engine remotely it also came with a RC trunk opener, lock/unlock, valetO/R
but still you cant control cars like bond does. and thats probably it for now and its my turn to buy the other mods coz my cuz is already broke:) I have to clean the entire xA, buy the HID lights, fog lights/driving lights, neon, i got to pay for the paintjob, new shift knob, tintjob, turbo-why me?, and more stuff i might give that car. and my cuz really isnt broke he loaned $7000 at NavyFCU they gave him a nice rate cause his in the navy

aint there a rule on ebay about used personal belongings? and besides that underwear is just from a bitch, its not like its from paris hilton or jessica simpson. :)

And we just got the 1NZ from the machine shop its a 1789cc engine now and the turbo we ordered at hopup will take long to arrive so no turbo for like 2 or more weeks, I also got the car washed the exterior, cleaned the interior and got the bodykit out also its on 4 jack stands and 2 3ton hydro jacks.

yeah but ur only changing the harness not the ecu are you? anything you need you can get from a donor car such as a celica gt, Corolla, elise, and the newer gen rollas depending on what exactly you are looking for.

Im just looking for either a Celica Gt or CorollaS the ECU I mean and I'll just use the stock harness on the xA.
Im looking for a used one at a local junk shop but the mexican guy is asking $800 for it and its from a celica GT whos rear ends really smashed by a tailgating ford truck, do you think $800 is a good deal for a used one?

is it for the entire car? if it is then yeah i guess, BTW what difference does it make if you use a ECU from a GT or a Rolla 01 and up all models(according to generation) make the same power except for the XRS of course. also you should change the title to "Project Speedy Thong", hehe.

I just saw this thread. Sure, you could fit a 1ZZFE in there. You'll have to figure out the axles and mounts, as well as the wiring. You should be able to pick up a good used 1ZZFE for around $300.

But I see that you've decided to go a different route anyway.

no ur right he is going with a 1zzfe from what it seems. since he is not using parts from an ECHO.

Well the xA still has the 1NZ but its been bored and the pistons have been changed also the engine is done with precision so its good there.

The only thing we need to do now is the ECU tuning which will be better if i use the ECUs of the 1ZZ so we can get an advantage, bcoz we aint doing the whole stock ECU again, we'll just change the ECU and use the following: unichip, turbo timers for the Turbonetics turbo and a maybe get the Greddy ECU mapper for different driving situations,:)

but I hope they make a computer like the one for the GT-R34 Skyline, i know they do make one but its not as good as the R34s, also the xA is close to done we just need to do the following ECU, Turbo install, and Pacific Blue Metallic paintjob, the one from the R34,a custom alarm system the one thats shocks you and also frame the used thong:D then its off to the port to be shipped to the Philippines I'll tell you the build cost when we get it shipped
BTW the xA is not mine so I cant take a picture, my cuz said its "badluck"..crazy guy its even in his garage if its in mine I'll take a hundred pics of it and send it all over the net including here.

NOPE ITS JUST FOR THE ECU but I saw i think its the same size as "Thong's" ECU but with a different program, His just getting the 05GT ecu tommorow at Toyota he doesnt care how much I just gave the Car Racing seat, pads pedals ST shifter and a Suspesion kit from TRD cost me more than $2K I think that car will cost like a new Scion xA when completed
