Any news on the 10th gen Corolla ???

:D Hey What do you think will be the new 10th gen Corolla look like?
I hope it stays close to the 9th gen with a 2.0-2.4 VVTL-i + twin turbo that has 260bhp 245 ft.lbs.torque and a 4WD standard and they should call it the 2007 Corolla GT-Four or a Corolla that looks like the celica with low overall height with a 2.4 VVT-i tC engine and RWD with 190bhp and 200 torque this one should be called the Corolla D as in "drift" and both should have at least 17" lightweight rims and Yokohama Avids.

Don't know the authenticity of this article, but you pretty much nailed it.

Its for Japan though, so who knows what watered down version we'll get here.

as much as i would love to say she was wrong i have to agree

chances are the next corollas gonna have a weak 4 cyl version, a weak hybrid version and some sort of sporty version.

    hopefully the sporty version delivers

twin turbo on a 4 cyl..? sounds pointless to me...just as pointless as a twin turbo setup on an inline motor period. a rwd 2 dr corolla would be cool...but don't copy the old celica names...if they should give any name extension to a 2dr rwd version corolla...it should be sr5. no offense...but the name "corolla drift" sounds pretty ricey...I just think that name is uber ghei...

As well as the Supra. But the only time you really need twin turbos are with V engines (for packaging purposes) or with VERY large engines, like 5 liters and bigger, which again, are normally V engines.

Otherwise one big turbo can do the same job better.

JAPAN has 2-3x the gas prices here so its not that, maybe its because noone will buy americas crap cars no more or those two competitors Subaru STi and Evo9 cause people will like the Rolla more than those ugly as hell SUVs and trucks which are pointless because only 1 or 2 person ride those 6-10 passenger V8-10s

2008 Toyota Corolla - All the information and pictures I could find...

And thats about it... there's almost no information out there on the car... and considering its at least 2 years away, most of the details are probably far from finalized also... safest bet is that it will probably be a little bit bigger, probably won't be a Matrix anymore since there will be a 4 door and a 5 door hatch version of the Corolla and AWD will likely be an option (from the Matrix) and there will more than likely be a Hybrid version (especially considering Toyota's hoopla about Hybrids)
