Wouldn't repainting be essentially the same as changing the color? Unless you've decided upon going extreme pearlescent, chameleon, or something of that nature.

what about a orange pearl with two yellow stripes on top or just one one on the left side, and not a vinyl actual paint. just a suggestion.
extreme, white pearl is what i plan to do on mine from the door handles to the bottom and dark navy blue above with a silver stripe around the enitre car where the blue and white pearl meet.

Keep it the same color. I'm not a painting guru, but to my knowledge its way more expensive to change color *they have to do all the interior frame work and what not that they don't have to do w/ a repaint* Plus I like the color of your car now.

yeah true it is expensive. i am looking at about 1500 to 2000 just to get mine repainted differntly but then again my engine bay, trunk and door jams are all painted black now so for me its jsut gonna be the outside. if you don't want to get it repainted but want it with more shine get it wet sanded and have a higher gloss added.

Damn, I have to get my shit repainted bad. Some jack ass heated up a lighter and stuck it to my trunk, so now I have the paint peeling off. I really wanna change the car to white, but uh...apparently you can't do that under a lease. So I either have to wait a year or two for the lease to run up or get it redone now and then redone later. No bueno.

For now, can anyone vouch for like a Macco job? I know they aren't the best, but for something temporary?

from what I understand under lese requirements.. you can't do anything under a lease... as for the maco paint job... they are the apsolute worst.. even the 400 dollar job sucks... better off just leaving the car as is ntill the lease is up and getting a good hot rod paint shop to do it...

Yeah, you aren't supposed to do anything under a lease. You can repaint it though as long as its a color match.

check with your insurance you may get a deductible and may wined up not haing to pay anything.

my friend had his 03 Acura Type S repainted recently since it was keyed all over the enitre car. turns out his bro was pissed and did it to his car when he was in Cali.

It costs about 2k to repaint your car in the Gay Area. The higher quality ones are Image Autobody around SF and H&H in oakland.

no shit! hehe. i hate white its too boring the only good thing i get out of it is that i don't have to wash the car for days but i still wash about every other day or so at least twice a a week for sure but that goes for all vehicles.

impulse red is what my friend has on his 01 LE you can see every scratch on that car especially from the front since it has a lot of rock chips. go for anything except the stock white go with a metallic or pearl IMO you get more out of it.

Yeah, sand scratches my paint job....

...no..i'm not even joking....if my car is dirty and i run my hand over it, it will scratch.

...toyota refused to fix this problem...so I'm on a mission to void my warranty in EVERY way possible.

...prolly gonna come back to bite me in the ass, but its fun none the less.

that is a good thing with white because its pretty rare for me to find the chips on my paint and then the sun hits it and you just go blind so i guess white has its advantages. :rule:

    1. i never had that problem
2.if you want to void your warranty the right way you may need to really screw it up, hehe.
    3. more than likely it is gonna come back and bite you in the ass, haha.

Oh i've voided it pretty good thus far...only thing I really have left to do is get CAI and run it through flood waters....no I kid, I wouldn't do that, but could you imagin how bad toyota would shit on me if i did that...ha.
