    Advice on engine mods

Hi guys, n00b here! I have a 2004 Corolla S auto bone stock (except radio) and I have about $2,500 to spend. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do??? I'm trying to maximize that amount until my next mini "windfall"... which won't be for a while! I'm in Tallahassee so I don't know any shop here that can do the work, so I guess I'll have to wait until I get back to South Florida.

u can order it online and have it installed by toyota themselves for that amount, plus you keep warranty

welcome to vvt-i! I agree with the supercharger idea. Best bang per buck you'll get in the long run.. much better than nitrous

For the money you want to spend, I'd have to say the TRD Supercharger also (especially since its still so new, you keep your warranty). Since it is an automatic, i'd recommend also getting a transmission cooler.

In the future, with the TRD supercharger, you could get an intercooler (IC) for it, water/alcohol spray for the IC, smaller pulley for the supercharger, etc...

Cool... thanks guys for all the great advice. I guess supercharger it is!!!

However, I went to the local Toyota dealership here in Tallahassee and a manager in the shop couldn't give me a set price on labor, but he said around $800. That seems a bit high... what do you guys think???

Wow, that's way too high. I thought the prices averaged around $300-$400

I would find a dealer that is authorized by TRD, they'll be able to give you an accurate quote too and they should be trained on how to install it...

800 is too much. either a dealer or a certified master tech can also install it for you as long as he/she has an authorized liscense. But your better off having a TRD tech instead.
