Rental: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

We rented this a few nights ago (came out on DVD on the 13th), after seeing the previews and thinking it might be enjoyable, we watched it.

Well, overall, we weren't that impressed with the movie. The storyline is interesting, but the actual story (acting, pace, etc.) wasn't that involving. Sometimes the movie went by too slowly, other times it went by at a speed that made you wonder exactly wtf had happened. Some of the characters were just annoying, while others evovled unevenly throughout the movie. It's decent for a rental, and to watch once, but I don't particularly want to see it again.

    Grade: C

It wasn't awful, but it was far from being as good as I had expected.

I found him quite annoying :| He's one of the main reasons I didn't enjoy it (same for my gf)

Yeah, except he was annoying, cocky and arrogant to the point where he made all the parts of the movie he was in un-enjoyable... but thats my opinion (and my opinion that he took away from the movie instead of adding to it)... you're entitled to yours...

agreed, though i was thoroughly amused by the movie. i guess it's "British Humour" - the divide between those who like it and those who don't is pretty large.

And youre opinion is wrong......j/k :D ....nah, I actually think I liked it because I watched it on a plane, and at that point, ANY movie I wouldve liked.

We watched The Interpreter on the way back. Pretty good!

The fact that I worked in a movie theater when that movie came out ruined it for me. Do you even know how much hype that movie came out with? It was sickening.

...never saw it none the less.
