thanks! yup both are stock. nice red glow at night just wish my HVAC would match it.
and black headlights? im not sure what that is. would love tips!
and the paint on this car is a mess. roof, hood, trunk. gah i know. but i dont plan on dropping any more $$$ on this except for the exhaust . and yes i would be very interested a rear roof visor. is it a small one or a wider one like roach?
cause i love the bigger one. is the 3m tape already used though?

Well that's fine actually.... So you said you already did a lens restore? Is the lens clear now? It's hard to see in the pics. But you can open them up and paint them yourself.... same exact thing for free. Do the head lights in black, and then put orange film or paint over the corners.

oh how i love a cheap DIY. so i spent like $30 on the 3m lens restoration kit way back. i thought i was doing it pretty well <_< they are heck of a lot better then they were before. i got rid of the yellow..most of it at least. but it still has a not so white/clear look to it. and i actually bought orange film when i bought my yellow film hoping to put it on the corner of the headlights. but the orange is barely orange! it looked almost yellow, any tips? im actually looking up black headlight diy's on the web now.

also too cbass appreciate it a whole lot!

    so on another subject..
what do you all think of this setup?
most likely going to order the resonator and muffler online sometime this month and get it welded at a trusted local shop next month..
custom exhaust 2.25 inch piping most likely to be crush bent
with an 18 inch vibrant 2.25 resonator, and skunk2 60mm universal muffler

Yeah I've never used orange vinyl, not sure. But the black paint is easy. And you probably didn't do the sanding correctly when using the 3M kit, hence the sanding marks. It will need wetsanding at 3000grit to remove.

    wetsanding at 3000 grit, kk!
double layering the film makes it slightly darker but is no fun dealing with bubbles

Yeah honestly it is probably easier to just paint the corner lights, since they curve funny.

They probably sent you the wrong color lol.

Normally, I like the black corners best, but since it's a HUGE pain to open and paint those, I think black head lights look good with the orange corners, even on the red paint. Mad JDM yo.

i got the yellow and orange together. and i was like oh cool looks awesome. and then i went to apply it.
and was just like ewww it looks horrible, there is already a little of orange on the corners and thought it would be dark enough to fit well with it and make the rest orange but it just made everything yellow -__-
DIY black headlights look like a risky process for a beginner like me. i probably will end up doing the orange corners though, considering it was my original plan

Come on dude, it's so easy, and I suggested it because you've done lots of other plastidip and paint. And it's free.

Yeah, put a head light in the oven for 15-30 minutes at 225 degrees (it should be preheated first) on a metal baking sheet. Spread out some newspaper on the counter, get some cooking gloves or something (the lights will be hot) and use a flat screwdriver to pry the lens off. Super easy. Then the bezel will pretty much fall out, paint that flat black. Reassemble the same way.

Be sure to take off all screws and metal clips before placing the lights in the oven.
