That's nice and all, but it hardly brings it back to the 1.85 it was a year ago. :(
So crappy. You know with hybrids getting better gas milage and not needing to gas up as often, I could see oil owners charging even more per gallon of gas to even the prices out once hybrids become the mainstream vehicle...

    Wouldn't put it past em.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if that happened too. I think they're compensating for that scenario already by raising prices now. Really, there's no reason gas should stay near $3 a gallon when only last year it was below $2 a gallon.

well its gone down from 3.09 to 2.69 so its getting better. yeah with hybrids they will keep them up pretty high. Mainly SUV's and large luxury cars, and trucks that drink it up will make the money for them and texas is one of the states with the highest of truck owners.Mainly from Ford and Chevy/GMC are the primary brands.

Oklahoma has talked bout wanting to do that starting the middle to end of this month but im not sure about the status of that...gas is at 2.86 right now even with the tax so at least for this state, i dont think it should be done...

heh yeah, gas companies would keep the price high then saying ' we're losing money otherwise ' when the current argument for the prices is ' its supply and demand ' bah, fucking greedy assholes!

:) I mean of course I don't know this, I'm just speculating, but think about it. Hybrids need gas too. They just need it a little less often. Face it, American consumers like to go with the flow, and take the easiest path with the least ammount of resistance. No one really likes to stick out. [Hence why I think we whined when Hybrids starting looking so future-ish. We just wanted to blend in.] I don't ever see there being a successful 'Gas Out'. :) Its just not worth it to sacrifice when you know most Americans are not going to sacrifice. Ya know? We'll whine and bitch but in the end go with whatever, because we need gas for our cars to go to our jobs. :meh: Kind of pathetic of us all, don't you think? :)

No shit take a look at Europe they have smaller cars and get better mileage and we can't even adopt such a system because Americans don't want to.
